Our samaj came together to foster the values and traditions of our Brahmin faith. BBSL is not only there to keep alive these traditions but also to enable our community to celebrate our culture together, give strength and support to our members and continue the teachings of our previous generations. BBSL is important to me because it enables all of these things. It gives us the opportunity to unite, reminds us of the values of our fore parents and is the vehicle to preserve our religious heritage.
It is my honour to be president of our Bardai Brahmin samaj because I care deeply about preserving our traditions, values, and heritage. I have held this position previously, have served on the committee for a number of years and look forward to building on this experience for our community. It is important that we stay connected to our roots, our knowledge, and the principles that guide our samaj but also be open to new ideas as we continue respectfully celebrating our wonderful culture and community.
As president, I want to support our younger generation in understanding our culture, and creating more opportunities for cultural, educational, and spiritual engagement. I want to help ensure that our traditions remain strong and the longevity of our samaj is maintained.
I’m particularly impressed with the formation of our Youth Committee who will drive to get BBSL more energised and help introduce new ways of engagement in the digital world with social media.
I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible over the coming months.
Warm regards,
