Dear Members We have started another year with new committee, who have very high hopes and aspiration to provide you all with a fun filled year of events. Sadly, their desire to organise events, is however quickly dashed due to non-support from the community. Our organisation in the early days flourished as a result of the whole hearted support and backing received from the community members. I have to commend these individuals who join the working committee, for having the optimism and desire to maintain the momentum.However as experienced in the previous years, these members have sad faces as time progresses, due to lacklustre support and attendance, and for some not to stay on the working committee the following year. Apologies for my pessimism, if we as a samaj do not wake up and revive Bardai Brahmin Samaj London, the outlook is very bleak, therefore my request to you all, is provide your support and make 2019 a year to remember when this dying samaj was brought back to life by your support. BBSL Navratri 2014

BBSL would like to invite you all to celebrate Navratri and Sharad Poonam on the following dates:

• Friday 26th September; 8pm - 10pm

• Saturday 27th September; 8pm- 11:30pm

• Thursday 2nd October (Aatham); 8pm - 10pm

• Saturday 4th October (early Sharad Poonam); 8pm - 11:30pm

Venues:

• Highlands School, 148 Worlds End Lane, London, N21 1QQ (26th & 27th September, 2nd October)

• Lea Valley High School, Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield, Middlesex, EN3 6TW (Saturday 4th October)

Both Highlands School and Lea Valley School have plenty of parking.

Entry:

• Members: Free

• Non-Members: £2

We kindly ask you to bring your own dandiya sticks. Please note that the organisers reserve the right of admission.

Charity Raas Garba:

Test your stamina with a non-stop Raas Garba for 90 minutes on Saturday 4th October! To participate, simply make a donation; all proceeds will go to the nominated charities we support.

Donations:

We welcome donations of all kinds including:

• Contribution towards the cost of hall hire

• Donation of refreshments such as water and soft drinks

• Chundadi, aarti and prashad

Please feel free to bring your own aarti and prashad if you wish to make an offering. Mataji ni chundadi will also be welcomed.
